Community Guidelines

Help us keep METU Photos a respectful and relevant space for everyone.

1. METU Campus Only

Photos must depict locations on or immediately adjacent to the METU campus in Ankara. Off-campus or unrelated photos will be removed.

2. No Identifiable People Without Consent

Do not upload photos where individuals are clearly identifiable unless you have their explicit consent. Candid crowd shots are acceptable when faces are not the focus.

3. No Political or Ideological Content

Photos must not contain political messaging, party symbols, protest content, religious propaganda, or ideological statements of any kind. The gallery is for celebrating METU campus — not advocacy.

4. No Inappropriate Content

Photos must not contain nudity, graphic violence, hate symbols, harassment, or any content that violates Turkish law or university regulations.

5. No Spam or Duplicates

Do not upload duplicate photos or flood the gallery. Uploads are limited to 5 photos per 24 hours per account.

6. Accurate Metadata

Select the correct location, date, and time-of-day for your photo. Deliberately misleading metadata is grounds for removal.

Reporting Violations

Use the flag icon on any photo to report a guideline violation. Select the most relevant reason and add optional details. Reports are reviewed by moderators. Photos that receive multiple reports may be temporarily hidden pending review. Repeated violations result in upload access being revoked.
